Himachal Pradesh police is recruiting for the post of constable and have invited application for the 1000 posts of constables. Here detail about exam of HP police constable, syllabus of constable exam and also previous year question papers of Himachal Pradesh police constable exams are available. Last date to apply for the post of constable is 15th June 2017.

Essential Qualification

- Age Limit

Candidates those who want to apply for the post of Constable in Himachal police should have age between 18 to 23 years and relaxation in age will be according government rules.

- Education Qualification

To apply for the post of Constable candidates must possess Higher secondary education passed (12th ) passed or its equivalent from a recognized institution and board.

Candidates applying for the exam of Constable 2017 in HP police will have to pay fee via Demand draft or I.P.O  in favour of

Himachal Administrative Service Exam-2017

Exam Pattern

There are three Phases of Himachal Pradesh Administrative examination these are
1.   Preliminary Examination
2.   Mains Examination
3.   Viva-voce

Preliminary Examination

First exam in Himachal Pradesh combined competitive examination is preliminary examination which carries two papers
-  Paper 1  (Paper 1 is of 200 Marks with 100 multiple choices questions).
-  Paper 2 ( Paper 2 carries 200 marks with 100 multiple choices questions).

      • - History, geography, political, art & culture and sociology-economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
        - Currents events of national and international importance.
        - History of India and Indian national movement.
        - Indian and World Geography-physical, social, economic geography of India and the world.
        -  Indian polity and governance –Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
        - Economic and social development – sustainable development poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives, etc.
        - General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.
        - General science.
    • Paper 2
      • - Comprehension
        - Interpersonal skills including communication skills
        - Logical reasoning and analytical ability ,Decision making and problem solving,General mental ability.
        - Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level).
        - English Language comprehension skills (Class X level).

Preliminary examination is compulsory paper which is objective type and carry 400 marks with 200 multiple choices questions.
Candidates for main exam will be selected on 20 times to the examination vacancies. Candidates those who will pass preliminary examination will appear in Mains Examination.

Mains Examination

Candidates who will pass preliminary examination will be selected for Mains Exam.
Candidates will be selected as 20 times of total vacancies .
Compulsory Examination in Mains Exam
- Paper 1 : English (100 marks)
- Paper 2 : Hindi (100 Marks)
- Paper 3 : Essay (100 Marks)
- Paper 4 : GK-1 (200 Marks)
- Paper 5 : Gk-2 (200 Marks)
- Paper 6 : GK-3 (200 Marks)


In viva-voce , Mains Examination passed Candidates will be asked for Viva Voce.
Marks obtained in Preliminary examination by candidates will not be counted for the purpose of final order of merit.
Marks obtained in the Main written
examination as well as in the viva-voce test would determine their final merit for
The option exercised by the candidates will be taken into consideration while
determining their order of merit for selection to the various posts/services.

HPSSC has declared today result of Junior Engineer Electrical post. There were 10 seats for which recruitment took place. Hpssc declared result today for 10 seats of Junior Engineer electrical posts. This was recruitment under hppwd department and on advertisement No. 31/2015.
